The Reliability Engineer will fill a key role at the Elkhorn facility in development and implementation of an Equipment Reliability and Computerized Maintenance Management System. A primary deliverable of the new CMMS will be Preventative/Predictive Maintenance, Work Order Management, Performance Trending, Calibration, and Spare Parts Inventory Management. The position will be responsible for collecting performance actor data, developing predictive techniques, and implementing preventative maintenance programs for the Elkhorn Maintenance Team.
Additionally, the Reliability Engineer will manage the contracted parts crib team. Parts crib management will include development of kitting plans for critical equipment, and will ensure fulfillment by through the parts crib.
In support of driving quality and safety cultures, the Reliability Engineer will serve as a lead point of contact for Corrective Action Preventative Action (CAPA) tracking and execution for the Engineering and Maintenance Department.
This position will have broad above site involvement as the local representative in Merck Global Reliability platform collaboration, and information sharing team.
As a resident expert, the Reliability Engineer will develop and deliver successful training on operating/maintenance best practices for maintenance and operations personnel. The Reliability Engineer will also learn and maintain critical safety related equipment programs including Pressure Safety Device inventory/management, Lockout Tagout, and critical device management.
Duties and Responsibilities
Develop Critical Equipment list, and a Bad Actor list for the site.
Assess, measure, track, and report on key reliability indicators for critical equipment systems.
Develop Preventive Maintenance procedures for Critical Equipment.
Develop and implement Kitting Programs for Critical Equipment.
Develop and implement a Predictive Maintenance Program for Critical Equipment.
Participate in equipment failure and contamination investigations.
Responsible as the CAPA point of contact for the Engineering and Maintenance department.
Develop and provide training to Maintenance associates regarding preventive and predictive maintenance.
Collaborate with the corporate Reliability team to maximize site reliability performance.
Responsible as the Change Control point of contact for Utility and Critical Equipment.
Develop Lock Out Tag Out procedures for new equipment. Review existing Lock Out Tag Out procedures for compliance with the site standards.
Education Minimum Requirement:
Associate's Degree required or Bachelor's Degree preferred
Required Experience and Skills:
Hands on capability in Vibration Analysis program development, field execution, and data analysis; with the ability to train others on the technologies.
Hands on capability in Lubrication Management and Oil Analysis program development, data analysis, and sampling program management; with the ability to train others on the technologies.
Hands on capability in alignment technologies and standard practice program development.
Hands on capability in Motor Circuit Analysis program development, testing, and data analysis.
Ability to communicate effectively using the English language, both written and verbal.
Ability to work effectively in a deliberate but personal ownership oriented environment with a strong sense of urgency and ownership.
High degree of personal ownership and pride in successfully completing initiatives.
Willingness and desire to get "hands on" sometimes, jumping in, helping out, and working at any level in the organization to build understanding of the work, and collaboration with stake holders and internal customers.
Must have experience with Preventive Maintenance.
Must be computer literate and proficient in Microsoft office.
Must have understanding of and ability to calculate Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE).
Must have understanding of and experience using some type of Computerized Maintenance Management System (ex. Maximo, SAP, etc.).
Preferred Experience and Skills:
Direct experience developing and leading a Reliability program implementation preferred.
Ability to use AutoCAD preferred.
Engineering degree is preferred.
OSHA 10 hr construction safety is preferred, or will be required within 3 months of hire.
Certification through Lean, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement process is preferred.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
